研究领域

1.高价值化合物的生物合成

   用合成生物学手段在微生物细胞中对高价值化合物(包括药物及中间体、食品添加剂及其他化合物)的生物合成途径进行重构、设计和改造,利用细胞工厂来大量合成这些化合物。通过设计针对不同化合物的特异性识别工具,对化合物的胞内合成产量进行高通量筛选。该研究方向旨在将自然界大量存在的廉价资源用微生物高效转化为自然界不存在或含量很少的一些高价值化合物。我们主要采用合成生物学手段、定向进化方法等对化合物的生物合成途径以及生产宿主菌进行设计或改造,以提高化合物的生物合成效率。侧重于芳香族化合物如羟基酪醇、香兰素、姜黄素等产品的生物合成研究。

2.酶工程

    我们采用蛋白质工程手段(定向进化以及理性设计法)对微生物酶进行改造,创造或提升酶的各方面优良特性,以扩大其应用价值。我们主要对酶的底物或产物特异性、活性、稳定性等特性进行改造以提升它们的应用价值。
