卵菌基因组学和宿主免疫机制

卵菌(Oomycete),尤其是疫霉属(Phytophthora)的病原微生物在农业上会造成巨大的经济损失,比如马铃薯晚疫病、烟草黑胫病、辣椒疫病、橡树猝死病、大豆根腐病等。为了发掘更多卵菌的抗性基因,研究组将收集、评价作物的近缘或者远缘野生物种,并将病原效应子作为工具,在野生植物中寻找新的植物抗病基因,同时深入研究植物免疫和植物病原互作的分子机制,最终利用这些资源和知识培育出更加抗病的农作物。
