CEEID Highlights China-Nigeria Youth Scientist Collaboration During Visit of Nigerian Foreign Ministry Official
On April 15, 2026, Dr. Victor Nwaoba ITUMO, Director of the International Department of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was received by Vice Director Qihui Wang of IMCAS, and Executive Director Junhao Zhu of CEEID. During the tour of Academician George F. Gao's laboratory, Prof. Haitao Hu and Prof. Jianxun Qi introduced CEEID's ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation mechanisms for youth scientist development between China and Nigeria. They emphasized the necessity of advancing future international science and technology collaborations in emerging infectious diseases and public health. The visit laid a positive foundation for deepening bilateral scientific partnerships.
