  报告摘要: Microbial metabolism involves complex, system-level processes implemented via the orchestration of multiple subsystems, including metabolic pathway, gene regulation network, and environmental cues. The complexity and systems nature of the process pose a great challenge to decipher bacterial metabolism in response to environmental stimuli. Mathematical modeling is becoming an indispensible tool for the study of cellular processes but the vast majority of the models focus on specific subsystems and their predictive power is thus limited. Integrative modeling, however, captures the true interdependence between different subsystems and provides a systematic way of interconnecting and bridging those layers.
