CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence for Emerging Infectious Disease (CEEID) Hosted “Chinese Vaccinology course”
The Chinese Vaccinology Course, hosted by CEEID and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, was successfully held from November 2 to 3 at the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, with the theme " Vaccines and Women's Health ".
Vaccinology is an interdisciplinary field. The research, development, manufacturing and rollout of vaccines involve the study of microbiology, immunology, epidemiology, statistics, infectiology, bioengineering, clinical medicine, ethics, sociology, economics, management, communication etc.
The course attracted more than 50 experts, scholars, and industry leaders from different institutes and agencies. They focused on women’s health, especially cervical cancer prevention and treatment to give the unique keynote speech.
This course provides an innovative platform of communication and cooperation for the scientists in the relevant fields.
