CAS and BAS co-hosts Webinar on COVID-19
Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Brazil Academy of Sciences (BAS) jointly held a webinar on September 9th, 2020.
Executives and experts from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Brazilian academy of sciences, Brazilian ministry of science and technology, Chinese embassy in Brazil, Institute of Microbiology of CAS, Wuhan Institute of Virology of CAS, School of Medicine of Tsinghua University attended the webinar and delivered speeches. Representatives from Influenza research and early warning center of CAS, and CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence for Emerging Infectious Disease (CEEID) also joined the conference.
The webinar discussed COVID-19 related topics ranging from Microbiology, Virology, Immunology, Biotechnology and Epidemiology, including the mechanisms of virus pathogenicity, vaccine and immunization, antibody response, drug treatments, testing tools, future collaboration research, as well as how to conduct phase 3 clinical trial of COVID-19 vaccines in the current context to address the issues faced by COVID-19 vaccine development.
